My Story — Maybe It’s Yours Too
Starting my journey as an HR Business Partner, I faced a flood of questions with very few answers.
Everyone kept asking: “What does an HRBP actually do?” And to be honest, I didn’t really know how to explain it. I was eager to contribute, to make a difference… but I didn’t know where to begin.
One turning point came when the team I was supporting faced a major retention crisis. A powerful competitor entered the market, and key people started leaving.
That was my wake-up call.
Reaching out to colleagues, managers, articles, and books, I sought real solutions, I realized:
This role isn’t just operational. It’s strategic.
A true HRBP has as much impact as a business manager.

I’m Roxana Ichim – Executive HR Manager with 20+ years in technical industries (software, automotive), a certified coach, trainer, and creator of one of Romania’s first HRBP programs.
